Flower Power!!

My cute little friends...as my sister would say my "4 and 40 friends" it is true all my friends are 6 or under and my parents friends but i like it! They are a solid group always there for me. Like beautiful summer days made for picking flowers at the Hudson Gardens with Landon and Liza! The three of us had a lot of fun packing a picnic to bring in with us. we sad under a nice shade tree ate and looked at all the many flowers talking about which ones would be good for picking and taking home. I know you are not really suppose to pick flowers at gardens but they first wanted to go to the temple and i decided it would be better to pick the gardens flowers over the temples flowers...just don't tell any one. we only took a few and we took from the flowers that there were big piles of. But it was great fun hanging out with two of my little buddies.Liza looking at all her choices and picking out the two she liked and ran back arms out stretched with her new found treasure!
Landon wasn't nearly as picky about his flowers he looked over at them and just grabbed two but still just as excited running back to show me which ones he liked!
There were some giant sprinklers on that the kids wanted to play in to cool off before we headed home and i said yes of course. It was a great way to spend an afternoon.

crazy dad and his ideas!!!

I am a little behind on my blogging been busy working and reading Harry Potter number 7 because i went and seen the movie which i loved and decided i wanted to remember what happened next. it took me a few days but i finished it up! so hear i am back tracking to the beginning of July before life got busy! So we have 70 feet or taller trees in our back yard and the roots are not very deep in the ground because they find water on top easy enough. With wonderful Colorado weather my dad worried about lightning storms, wind, early and late heavy snows breaking branches off the trees big enough to go through windows and even maybe in his mind take down a full tree. My Mom on the other hand loves the trees so in an agreement neither really liked they are cutting down the 3 on the side of the house and leaving the 5 in the back along the fence. Dad being the handy man he is did not see the point in paying someone to take them down. he went over to Murdocks and got all the hands tools and little things he would need in his adventure of playing Mr. Lumber Jack!!! he called up one of the recently returned missionaries from the ward to come help and they set to work! see what happens below...remember he is doing this so the trees to break or fall and hit the house!!! Enjoy my dad our families entertainment! but we sure do love him!

Here are two of three trees left to come down!!! can you see the little man way up in the tree?a little close up of the man my dad in the tree.they are looking at it as if it were an alien of our house...i don't think that is where they were planning on it landing!
Now dad is on the house hoping 1. that mom does not think to come out and check and see what the tree hit...the house or was just really loud when it hit the ground. 2. that nothing bigger falls on the house! MEN!!!!
this is came down like thunder it was so crazy. we could have taken that branch and replanted it as a full grown tree.
When my dad came down he look at me and said "I though I was going to lose my finger, i pulled it out just in time!"
Gross Daddy!!!
he did some good work...but he has not worked on them since i guess he and i have both been busy!

Quilting Club!!!

Since i started my senior year i have been going to enrichment activities i really love them i love the ladies in my ward and i think this is all a lot of fun and it was a good way to get my mom to go because she would come with me so i have always had a little ear in with the relief society! Anyways i had heard that sister was going to start a quilting class/club that meet once a month. I thought would be fun my mom sews and i like to mess around with it a little bit. How ever i was not yet formally in relief society...until i graduated so a couple of months ago i started attending and now i get to go to even more fun activities...i don't understand why some people think relief society is so bad...it is great! so this is the second time my mom and i have gone. different people are there each time all at different parts of our blankets!
My Mom and Sister Lybbert...my Mom is really far on her blanket...me not so much!Sister Prusse hard at work on her 4th of July lap quilt getting ready to sew the batting and backing on...whatever that it...I will find out in another year when i make it to that point!
Sister Lisby is my kind of lady she hadn't worked on hers since the last class like me so we were both sewing strips together! :) (Sister Prusse hiding from the camera...she didn't know i took the first one)
All of us who came this night hard at work...minus me because i am taking the pictures!

Be Loyal to the Royal Within!!!

That is the tent i set up on my own...no flooding at call or bugs! i did a good job!
Sister Brandt a.k.a Sista B! She was released about 6 months ago as our YW president it was so great having her at camp. She is like another mom to all of us girls!

Funny faces and a great butt shot! these two are a riot to be around~
A little bit of goofing around before the hike waiting for our missing camp directer to show up! Danielle and I doing our oh so flattering tongue face and miss Kylene doing her gangsta poss below! what a nut head!

All of us girls stop for a picture on the hike to please all of our leaders who wanted a group shot!

Our hike was up to Turquoise lake because of the cloud coverage the water does not look all that cool but when the sun is out shining on it it is beautiful! We camped at the same place we did the year before! It was really something!

Pinata Ball!!! this was my favorite part of camp...4 hours of Pinata ball! leaders against girls. (not everyone played and many came and went but there were a few of us who were faithful and played the entire game.) So the game started out as softball with a...i cant spell the name of the ball...one of the ones that have hole in it! Well Jessica a 6th year hit a home run with it and broke it into two pieces! So, we went back to the kitchen found some duck tape and also a bag of skittles!!! You are smart you can figure out what we did! we taped it up leaving one hole open out skittles in and then taped it up! It was fun because whenever someone hit it hard enough and the tape would get moved a little you could see skittles fly! it was great fun...and a lot of tape...it got taped at least once and inning! This is a great wholesome activity if you have a group of friends!

Forth Years! Ruby Red Divas! They made camp very lively with there made up songs, dancing and much much more!
Third Years!!! Fairytopia!

Cinderella...ella...ella...ella!
it was so cute!
This is are amazing camp directer Sister Holub and on the last night when Bishop came up with all the cheers and skits we had a royal ceremony. She knighted all four of our priesthood holders who were up the last night with special honors...to respect the ladies, to always be in their place, to not say that something isn't heavy when we think it is, to kill all spiders with bravery! hilarious
look at them with those swords they were feeling very brave...ready to fight off any bears that made their way into camp!
The leader over each year got caps of righteousness!
lastly but most importantly! Bishop was Crowned King of our camp ground and of our ward!

it was a really fun last year of camp! The theme was super cute and it was nice that it was just ward camp and not the entire stake...that is to many girls! I will be missing these girls when i head off to school but it was a great last big memory!
